    Mort ESPN Chat

Joe D. (NYC): Mort- Buffalo fan in Southern NY. Not good times. Bad times. Was just hoping that you could give me a realistic opinion on Buffalo's 2004 season. What should we realistically expect? Thanks!

Chris Mortensen: (12:38 PM ET ) I will be shocked that if the Bills stay healthy in key spots they are not a strong contender. healthy, the Bills can win 10-to-12 games.

Mort is the smartest media observer of football in the country! At least he is today. LOL
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

Mort does generally have a pretty good idea what he is talking about...I value his opinion over almost any other out there...I am not saying this in response to this comment either...I always search out chats with Mort and other articles he writes...

Goob, what saviorbledsoe is referring to was when Parcells joined the ESPN crew for the Sunday morning show before taking the job with Dallas. Everyone was in the hotel lobby saying hi to him and welcoming him aboard, when Mort came up and started talking about how he lost the Super Bowl with New England and the AFC Championship game with the Jets, in a real smarmy kind of way. Parcells responded by taking Mort's bag from his hand and heaving it across the lobby. It was a funny commercial for the ESPNers, much better than those terrible "parade" copmmercials last year.
