Numbers 83, 78, and 34, mean a hell of a lot more to me than 79. Mcfarland could be the water boy for all I care. 79 is meaningless IMO.

Look at the good years he gave us! Was Andre great at the end, was Thurman, Bruce or Even Kelly. You have to look at his overall carrer. Don't be a haterLook at the good years he gave us! I agree with you but I doubt many on the Zone will. Many fans soured on Ruben because they believed GW and his croneys were gods rather than a good player stuggled the best in a very bad system.

No one really thinks he out-and-out sucked to my knowledge...but retiring his number? C'mon..that's just crazy talk.

Disagree. Many people have been calling Ruben washed up and other such things. Ruben tried to stay in Buffalo and gets respect almost everywhere else but in Buffalo for his play.

I saw a post that said "Villirial puts in an honest days work"... Well Brown put in an honest decade of work... What other Bills lineman came to play every week over the last 5 or 6 years?

when you have some posters who seem to think he's better than greats like Billy Shaw, Joe D, and Reggie McKenzie could ever dream of being, I think some people go overboard in their reactions to these such posts. JMO. Let's put it to a vote

We would appreciate you not putting words in the mouth of the RB fans.

I said "seem to think" ;)
And besides, I like Ruben as well...I just don't think he's as great as you seem to.

Its just a damn number....i mean who cares about the number of an O-linesman(no affence they play a big part in the game) but no fans really CARE that much about any offense linesman.
