Quarterback Travis Brown knew he was down to his last chance to prove himself when he re-signed with the Buffalo Bills this offseason.

The addition of first-round draft pick J.P. Losman hasn't changed Brown's hopes or determination.

"I've been fighting for my life in this league for five years," Brown said after the Bills completed a four-day minicamp this week. "To be real honest with you, I wouldn't have it any other way. ... I want to be here and I'm doing everything that I can."

Besides drafting Losman last month, the Bills also have an established starter in Drew Bledsoe. That leaves only one spot open, one the team would prefer to fill with someone having veteran experience.

The Bills previously had talks with Kordell Stewart and Doug Johnson, who has since signed with Jacksonville. Coach Mike Mularkey said earlier this week that he still hasn't made a decision on whether to bring in another quarterback prior to the start of training camp in July.
