June 1 cuts shouldn't bring any surprises

    By Vic Carucci
    National Editor, NFL.com

At some point after 4:01 p.m. ET on June 1, several NFL veteran players will be in search of new teams.
There won't be a whole lot of drama involved.

For the most part, the players who will be released in order for their clubs to suffer less salary-cap impact that they would if they had cut them before June 1 have long been aware of their fate. The majority of clubs already have made the bulk of their key offseason personnel moves, while others likely will sit back for several weeks before deciding if they will hand out any walking papers before training camp in July.

Most all of the players who will be cut are on the downside's of their careers. Exp: Eddie George, Kurt Warner...

I just can't get very excited about any of these names.
