The Buffalo Bills will have their eyes on tweaking their roster and will have room on their credit card to do so when the NFL’s second shopping season opens today.
New coach Mike Mularkey said he likes the look of his current 88-man roster but as he continues to assess personnel through a series of 14 on-field voluntary practices that started last week, he won’t hesitate to ask general manager Tom Donahoe for help.
That’s especially true if he sees a veteran player come available that he feels could help make his NFL head-coaching debut a success. Cuts made after June 1 massage the salary-cap hit and big-name players annually wind up at the curb this time of year.
