I'm willing to bet that Travis Brown will stay on... :puke:

However, he will be willing to let JP Losman get a lot more reps, even though Losman will be the 3rd stringer. I also think that they will have Brown and Losman duke it out for the backup job in TC and during preseason. Losman might surprise people and take the job and Travis Brown would be the 3rd stringer.

I wouldn't mind Charlie Batch

I want Mike MacMahon... the old white detroit QB.

That guy was fun to watch play.

Yeah, I was hoping Detroit would release him. He would be a good choice. :D

I look at it that we are not going to the SB...Losman can sit and grow and learn and play if necessary...only strengthens the future.

Kordell is an idiot. The reason he signed with the Ravens is because they promised him that he would only play QB. Dont you think you would rather contribute to the team on the field and play instead of sitting on the sidelines holding a clipboard. If Kordell would accept the SLASH role he would be know as one of the most dynamic players in the league. Instead, he is an overrated pitiful quarterback that everyone makes fun of.

Oh My Gawd, come now Dozer. Charlie Batch? Say it ain't so.

We don't need a new backup QB, I assure you that Travis Brown is as capable as Kordell or Batch and then some. Give him the opportunity, he deserves it and will do well. Trust me!

Exactly. We already know Kordell and Batch suck........they have proved it. Brown may suck too but at least we don't know that for a fact!

I disagree. Brown has yet to show me that he doesn't suck. :shakeno: :puke:

Travis Brown came in last year twice if im correct. Maybe 3 times. But, he came in and completed passes! I remeber the fans cahnting for him and cheering him on, every pass he threw, he comleted. So i wouldn't say he sucks, but, he isn't no powerful QB, yet is Kordell or Charlie!

YOu are probably right Mikey........he probably does suck. All I'm saying is may as well keep him rather than Batch or Kordell or any other scrap out there now.

BTW..................my new title ain't funny ;)

I would have preferred to have Kordell or Jeff Blake as the backup. Now, I'd be happy with having Travis Brown and JP Losman duke it out, and let JP get a bunch of the practice reps so he is ready for next season. :D

BTW...yeah it is funny! :snicker:

I think a Travis Brown who is familiar with things in Buffalo is probably as good as anything we're likely to be able to sign from somewhere else.

Mikey could've completed passes against those prevent-style coverages they were throwing at us.

Is that so bad for a "third stringer"? Bledsoe is as tough is the come. Maybe it's b/c he's used to being blasted so much, but still he won't go down easily. IF he does for an anomalic reason, why not just put Losman in and chalk up for expirience? Sure if Bledsoe gets rocked Week 1 and is out for the season, I can see reason for worry. But almost all teams would be done if thier starting QB was done for the season. Batch, Stewart, and probably Blake wouldn't do much better, if better at all, than Losman, or even Brown, imo.

While I don't see Buffalo getting another 3rd-stringer as good as Brown for the same money, you can't judge him on that performance late in the last game against the Patriots.

That was total garbage time. Look at the players making tackles: Larry Izzo, Je'Rod Cherry, Shawn Mayer, Matt Chatham. He was playing against backup players in a game so out of hand the Patriots were giving yards to kill the clock. You can't judge a player in that situation.

So it was a prevent coverage. Drew couldn't do squat. I'll give credit where credit is due. Although that drive doesn't make Brown a great qb, he sure did a better job than drew did all day.

 I hope you're not trying to say that Drew was playing against the same prevent coverages that Brown was. Except for the Bills' utilization of Antoine Winfield, teams don't go into prevent usually until the end of the game.
