Wow. This is more stubborn than I thought. I FEEL a whole lot better already. It's just a matter of time before the scale says so. lol

Start: 183
Today: 180
Goal: 163
+/-: -3

I've decided to make one more change. Instead of taking the subway, I'm going to walk to and from Penn Station in the morning and after work (weather permitting). That's a good 20+ city blocks!

I hear ya...

Start: 210
Today: 208
Goal: 195
+/-: -2

Start: 238
Today: 236.5
Goal: 215
+/-: -1.5

It's been very tough. But I will say, I haven't been as hardcore as I was the first 4 days. I've got to get back in the zone!

I'm only weighing in once a week as I stated when we started this. I was feeling GREAT the past week but after getting on the scale yesterday, I'm VERY, VERY, VERY depressed. :( And, I was unable to walk last night due to the weather. I really thought I was starting to look better, but now I'm not sure anymore. I hate my scale. :(

I'm really following my plan, and am shocked that I haven't lost more. I'll have to tweak some more.

Daily weigh-ins are not feasible

Should only do weekly

Doing it every day helps me keep focused!

Doing it every day would lead to suicide for me. :(

Maybe if I was doing :hump: I'd be losing weight! :fatkid: :wail:

BTW, when I was dating John, I DID do it every day or at least every time I saw him for YEARS!

I have a problem that needs a ruling from the forum leaders (I still chuckle when I type that about BF1).

I had my weight at 193 to start from a home scale but had a physical today and the Doc had me at 184.

Which should I use or do I win for dropping so much so fast.

I've lost about 3 pounds. And today is absolutely gorgeous, so I'll be working outside most of the day and will not be around snacks. I'll be drinking lots of water, too. The weekend and yesterday were not so good for me. Rained all weekend, couldn't be outside, couldn't get motivated. :sadwalk:

Hmmmm. I think I know where I was storing that weight that wouldn't seem to come off.

:push:

I bet I just unloaded a pound! At least!

That's weird, Eric. Usually the doctor's scale has you weighing more than the one you have at home. The rule I go by is use the scale you get on every day, in your case, it would be the one in your home. Also, you have to think about the time of day you are weighing yourself. You get the most accurate reading when you first get up and after you go to the bathroom and sans clothes. Later in the day you will tend to weigh more.

I hope this helps.

I think the doctor's scales are more accurate. And his scale is probably right.

As for an official ruling... To keep score, we'll continue using your broken scale - for consistency. You can deduct 9lbs from your start weight and your daily weight.

Now that you know you're 184, do you think you still need to lose? I will allow you to change your goal.

Depends on the scale. I know the scale at my gym is beat up, so I don't rely on it.

Bad weekend. Need to get back in a routine. I'm still exhausted.

In the beginning, no. I think I graduated college weighing between 130-135. After being out a year, I dropped down to about 125 and held that for a bit and that's when I started dating John. I lost about another 5-8 pounds and stayed around the weight I'm at now while we were dating for 5 years. I think I weighed the least 2 years after we broke up. I was down to 104 and held that for a good 2 years. Those were my good days! :) Now I'm back up to :fatkid:
