The praise keeps coming for the new Buffalo Bills' coaches. But there's no need to chalk the latest remarks up as empty words or front office optimism, because they came from an 11-time Pro Bowler and Hall of Fame offensive lineman with no affiliation to the Bills.
Speaking from experience working under both coaches during his days as a Cincinnati Bengal, Anthony Munoz gave nothing but compliments for new offensive line coach Jim McNally and quarterbacks coach Sam Wyche prior to teeing off Monday at the 18th annual Jim Kelly Celebrity Golf Classic at Brierwood Country Club in Hamburg.
"Jim (McNally) is just an unbelievable coach," said Munoz, who's considered to be one of the best offensive tackles in NFL history. "The guy is one of the best, if not the best, as far as taking guys and not only teaching them individually, but bringing them together as a unit."
Munoz would know, too. McNally was an offensive line coach for the entire duration of Munoz's career from 1980 to 1992. Munoz was selected third overall in the 1980 draft, played in 11 Pro Bowls and was voted into the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility.
