Who would be our best FS, please don't say Kelso, maybe Steve Freeman or did he play SS as well?Did Statton not play MLB, if not then maybe Cowart or maybe Haslett, and I know Mueller was not better than Gash.

Gash at FB? What about Gilchrist! He was the best by far.
              Beware the sack master!

                I'll take a crack-

                QB- Kelly

RB- OJ FB - Braxton (Over Cookie-)

WR- A. Reed, Moulds, #3 Slot WR would be Chandler

                TE- Jay Riemersma

Line- OT-Will Wilford ,G-Joe D, C- Hull, G-Billy Shaw OT-Reggie Mckenzie- (Yes I know McKenzie was a guard, but you have 2 HoF guards already in Shaw and Joe D- Got to stick Reggie in there somewhere.)

                P- Paul McGuire

                K- Christie

                S/T - Tasker

D Line- Bruce Smith, Fred Smearles, Tom Sestak, Ron McDole

LB- Talley, Haslett, Stratton, Bennett ( Paup and Spielman are very close if they put in more time)

                Secondary-

CB - Robert James, Butch Byrd
                S- George Saimes, Steve Freeman

A number of Bills would have cracked this starting line up if they were on the team longer- or are just remembered for some incredible seasons.

FB Cookie Gilchrist, LB Shane Nelson, S Jeff Nixon, LBs Bryce Paup and Chris Spielman, Ted Washington lost out by a nose, WR Jerry Butler, I have to come up with a squad of 51 players

                  Forgot to add coaches!

Lou Saban- if he didn't have that wild hair up his but that made him change jobs every few years- he would be upm there with Chuck Knoll, Chuck Knox, Tom Landry, Bud Grant as long term coaches who went to the playoffs season after season.

Didn't Chuck Knoll coach in Buffalo for a while... Pre-OJ years? Knoll would have built a Dynasty around The Juice.. he would have added the Defense.

I thought I saw where he almost ended up in Buffalo as an assistant before he went to the Steelers.

Thanks, Dozer, for remembering Sestak, Shaw, Saimes, James, et. al. I loved Bobby Chandler, but would have to add Elbert Dubenion to the WR corps. Also, Cookie Gilchrist - a great natural talent - would have to make the squad.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I picked Chandler as the #3 guy- a perfect slot receiver- Dubenion does make the top 5 WRs on my all time team,

                            Reed, Moulds, Dubenion, Chandler, Butler

Stratton played OLB..I'd put him in place of Bennett..who took too many plays off. Haslett or maybe even Harry Jacobs at MLB
                              Reggie played G
As much as I loved Sam Gash, Cookie Gilchrist is the best FB we've ever had.
At DT, as good as Teddy was, Sestak was a HOF caliber player and it's nothing less than a travesty his bust has yet to be displayed in Canton.
