I have really ripped on JG early in the season so I have to give him some credit now. Our D has played really well for 10 strait quarters now. Really if not for that lucky tipped TD and then Rogers bone head letting the KO drop the D would have only allowed 6-10 points.

BTW..................what happened to Chris watson? It's like a new guy out there.

i agree....the D had a great game plan, chris watson as well as the rest of the D is looking like a solid D, and thats all we really need with our talented offense.

Any one else besides me starting to wonder if destiny's on our side yet?

The Fix in on by the NFL! We are slated to win the SB. They figured it would be a great story with Drew being shunned in NE than comming here to have a career season and lead us to the World champoinship!

Not to toot my own horn but...

I have said all along that the defensive struggles were not Gray's fault and that he was a great coach now he is making me look like a genius. GO BILLS!

He's improving Winfield but not tho the status of Great coach yet. I hope he gets there.

I didn't even get a chance to watch the play-by-play today -- I take it, then, the defense played well? Details, please!

If you didn't mean to toot your own horn, what exactly were you trying to accomplish with this post?

Should be a good test for this defence comin this Sunday. I know that Brady basically sucks, but with all those short passes they do I hope our D-backs can get up in the face of the Patsie recievers. Playing 8-10 yards of the man against even these guys can make for some sustained drives.

We get a handful of Phin fans, mostly regulars, and once in awhile we get two or three opposing fans on the week that we play them, but otherwise, it's pretty much all Bills fans.

Anyhow, about Gray, let's not go crazy just yet. They beat the Ray Lucas dull fins and the Lions. Not exactly world beaters. Nice to see Fletcher show up a little more, but I am tired of not seeing Robinson do anything.

Watson did play much better. Must have been a "good game."

I agree w/ EE. No need to get carried away. The Lions were not even that good a team. They have a nominal Running Back and three WRs that are good, none of whom are great, and a rookie QB.

Yet, we couldn't manage one single sack, forced fumble, or INT. Other than the H-M one that Watson had. But that one doesn't count for obvious reasons.

I didn't see much that impressed me. It was the Lions! A terrible team! If we play like that each week, then we're gonna get killed vs. teams that have an offense. Ie., N.E., K.C., G.B., S.D., and maybe even Cincy too if we're not careful.

We should have blown Detroit out and we barely won the game. We're 5-3 w/ 4 of our 5 wins over teams that are all 2-5 who collectively have one marquee WR and one marquee RB w/ no marquee QBs and two rookie QBs.

This D isn't good. Our punting is good. Drew is good. That's about it. Gilbride simply doesn't know how to use a Running Back. Poor Henry. He played a good first half but Gilbride still didn't use him. He got about 1.5 carries per drive. That's sad.

If Gilbride doesn't wake up, we're in for a shocker on Sunday!

The Miami game was apparenty a fluke that we won only because of Lucas' 6 unforced errors/TOs.

We simply cannot keep passing each game and expect to win games v. teams like N.E., G.B., S.D., K.C. Even the Jets and Miami on the second go round may be tough too. We're 5-3 playing like a 2-6 team. Sure, we have the record, but we're not a good team.

Close wins, almost losses, against teams like Houston, Detroit, Minnesota, and Chicago simply are not good enough to demonstrate that we're 5-3 by virtue of anything other than an easy schedule such as Chicago had last year. They at least went 13-3 w/ theirs.
