Just a footnote to all you Calgary supporters, and yes I was one myself.

They decided to leave the fans that have been rooting for them throughout the entire playoffs high and dry. Last report I heard had the Flamers refusing to participate in a welcoming parade. The parade wasn't supposed to be a heroes welcome or anything, just a show of support for the great season they had. The players felt it wasn't the same without having the hardware.

That's a nice way to boost your season ticket sales for the upcoming (non)season.

It was a last minute descision to show up to the parade. Bunch of frikkin cry babies.

Ah theres nothing like a second place welcome home parade. Been to 5 of them myself here in Buffalo.

They were all good & it looked like the players & fans had good times with it.
