In Foxboro, Cinderella's glass slipper has shattered in his face.
For the second straight home game, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been showered with "boos" by his hometown fans.
After a 3-0 start that made all those folks who doubted the 2002 Patriots (yours truly included) choke on humble pie, the Pats are 3-4 are losing a quartet of contests to playoff-caliber teams.
And it likely won't get much better this week, when Bills quarterback Drew Bledsoe gets his shot at the team that threw him out in the street.
The thinking was that Bledsoe would be inspired to prove to the football world that the Pats kept the wrong guy. To the surprise of most, however, the proof might already lie in the performance of the 5-3 Bills.
