Damn that number 11 should never be worn again by any Bills player....

I know right...That number is absolute horror for this team....I say we get a petition to get Drew #10 or something else....This is getting ridiculous.

Clearly it was a Rob Johnson jersey with the name removed and re-ironed on.

Rob was very generous with his number. Defences all over the league had it.

As Marv once told a bunch of young Bills, "We cut Superman." Too bad we didn't get rid of RJ as quickly.

When I first saw this I thought...

Ques: "What to do with your old RJ jerseys?"

Ans: Put a Cain nametag on it and sell it on ebay!

But looking closer -

This is a huge scam! That's a Phil Simms Giants jersey! Look at the sleeves. Bills jerseys had stripes. That's how it has the "right throwback tags".

Has anyone seen a legitimate Bills throwback besides Kelly and Simpson? I haven't. Why is there no Reed, Thomas, Bennett, or Kemp?

Wasnt Norwood on the team in 89 ? So how could Cain have worn 11 in preseason?

Jan Reimers

OK, I admit it, I'm the idiot who bought this thing. But I got it for the minimum bid and, even if it's bogus, it will be interesting to wear once in a while.

...And it may be the only one ever using Dean Cain's name, Scotty Norwood's number and a Giant's jersey.

Jan Reimers
06-19-2004, 06:05 AM
...or Cain's name and Simms' number, or...

Oh, Hell, I think I got screwed.

Did he really play for the Bills in preseason? I never heard that before. :idunno:

Don't take it too hard - it'll make a nice $49.95 nightshirt. What was the shipping cost?

Jan Reimers
06-21-2004, 05:46 AM
$7, so for a mere $56.95 I got the worst jersey in history. I'll wear it to the get together before the home opener, if we have one, so everyone can laugh at it - or me.

I wouldn't. Dean Cain is a wuss, and a little girl.

Hey Jan, I've got a solution for you. Find an old Giants jersey for your girlfriend and have ABLE put on the back - then it'll look like you had a plan or something!

Jan Reimers

Great idea, z, but my wife might have a little problem with the girlfriend part.

BigZ
06-21-2004, 09:40 PM
OOPS! Do get one for the wife (not girlfriend) then!

Jan Reimers

I just got the Cain Jersey. It's white with orange and black striping on the sleeves, apparently his Princeton jersey. I've e-mailed the seller to see what might have happened.

My advice? Never buy ANYTHING from BIG GUY SPORTS.
