RJ started out great and we had the game in hand but our defense let them back into the game and Wade got real conservative with the offense from what I remember. RJ got knocke out I think midway in the third with a concussion (big surprise) when he went on a QB sneak up the middle (sounds like GW & KG) and got knocked on the head. I don't think they let Flutie really do anything.

Saturday 6/19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT — Rams vs. Bills (9/20/98 — 34-33)
Bills quarterback Rob Johnson passed for three touchdowns against Tony Banks and the Rams in a game that would be decided late in the fourth quarter.

This was all I could find.

I watched the first half and TiVo'd the rest. The irritating thing is listening to the announcers justify RJ's contract on every single halfway decent play he made.

The D had a great goal-line stand in the 1st Quarter- Sam Cowart chased down Hill on an outside run, then Bruce burned two blockers and had a clean shot at Banks for a sack.

Also, Hill got through the line for about 3 yards then Gabe Northern came out of nowhere and flattened him.

Good memories.... I love watching Bruce, Thurman and Reed play, even if they were past their primes

I remember that game was blacked out in UNY. That was the Bills' eighth straight loss going back to 1997. The next week, RJ had one of his best games ever as the Bills pasted the 9ers. The week after that, he was knocked out against the Colts, and Doug took over. That was a frustrating team, they lost their first three games by a total of 9 points. They easily could have gone 13-3, or even 14-2. Christie missed the kick against the Chargers in Week 1, there was the Just Give It To Em game against the Pats in Foxboro etc.

I finally watched the rest of the game- RJ ended up screwing it up. He had 3 turnovers that were basically the difference in the game. He was great in the first half but completely came apart at the end. There were also at least 3 times when he ran out of bounds for a loss- someone never told him that there's no grounding outside the tackles.

That's exactly why I don't go to games in September.
