Bengals and Gildon begin contract talk

Jason Gildon left Cincinnati after a two-day visit that was described as positive for both sides.

Gildon has visited Green Bay, Buffalo and the Bengals and was expected to head next to Chicago.

Contract negotiations were said to have begun between the team and Gildon agent Peter Schaffer. The Bengals moved to the top of Gildon's list because of his relationship with Bengals coach Marvin Lewis. Lewis was Gildon's linebackers coach at Pittsburgh in 1994-95.

Seems like the Bungles are in the lead for Gildon right now...

Didn't we all here the same thing when Troy Vincent went to Cincy and after he left there as well??? We shall wait and see. If Gildon wants to come to a team that has a chance in the very near future then he will pick Buffalo or Green Bay. If he wants to rebuild for a few more years before having a serious chance then he will go to Cincy or Chicago....That is what it all comes down to.

I don't really want him.... he isn't strong enough to play DE, IMO.
You're right, I am a coward! I haven't any courage at all. I even scare myself.

I hope he signs with cincy. Im sure there has been a lot of talk about it around here, but ive been gone

he has the signs of aging-two seasons of lower than his average production, cut by his team, etc. Plus, whose spot would he take? is he that much of an upgrade over posey to be worth the money? Can posey really play DE if e move him there? IMO, not worth getting in a bidding war over him. Gildon isnt the answer...
