    Need more prayers.

I just wanted to let everyone know that my sister (Susan) died last week. She was 37 and had a massive stroke last Tuesday. I just returned to NC from New Berlin, NY. She was a very giving person. She volunteered at the local nursing home and at her daughter's elementary school. She even gave at the end when she donated her organs. She touched many people's lives. The funeral director told us that over 250 people attended the service. That was the largest attendance the funeral home had ever had for 3 generations (quite a large number for a village with only one stop light)

Please pray for her husband (Doug) and 9 yr old daughter (Morgan) to have the strength to carry on. I can't stop thinking about her and how they are feeling.

It has been a tough year. Some of you probably remember that my godson passed away on January 1st. I was overwhelmed by everyone's genuine concern.

    God Bless,

    Scott

You have my sincerest condolences, NC.
Someone said "What's he gonna turn out like?" Ha!
And someone else said "Never mind!"

From your description, she was one heck of a person. Prayers to her family. With her good example, though, I'm sure they'll make it - but will miss her terribly.

I'll join in the prayers too. How are you doing?
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

Sounds like God was already with her. May the Lord watch over her family and yours as well.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Susan's husband and daughter. It sounds like she was a great person. I can never figure out why so many good people are taken so young.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I am very sorry to hear of this troubling news, and hope you are doing OK. Her family will be in my prayers.

She's in your hands now, Lord and I can't think of a better place to be. I pray for her husband, daughter and the rest of her family. May they have the strength to recover and grow and let the Holy Spirit fill them to ease their sorrow. Let your and her love guide everyone through this time of need, Lord. I have no doubt Susan's love has left her impression in Morgan's heart. Let her continue to spread her mother's passion for life. In Jesus's name we pray. Amen
