That 4th and 1 standup is exactly why he is here. I completely agree Marcos, London is quickly becoming the LB that he was for St Loius.

definitely

I was not impressed by some posters negative comments on him. One person even said he was a "bust." You know who you are

The Bills and the Rams team that he was on obviously play different schemes. An adjustment period needed to be tolerated.

Our whole LB core is showing up, not just london. Robinson, and Newman have made their presence known as well

Are D is getting better every game. Hopefully we can shut down the PATS and let drew do his magic.

We have seen what London brings to the locker room, his leadership and maturity..its great to see him pump up those around him on the field also. But i cant agree more, his play has gotten so much better, and he is becoming the player that we all thought he could be...still time to improve, and every week its great watching the defense get better and better

I think the improved LB play is one of the biggest reasons for the Defense's turnaround.

Let me know the next time you have a Robinson sighting. I must have missed it.

At the start of the season, I think a lot of us were a little disappointed and a little worried about the defence, including the play of our linebackers. It's hard to know how much of an adjustment period is needed. All I can say is that we're seeing more out of the whole defence, and I think the linebackers are contributing as much as anyone to the improvement. I hope it keeps up, because I'm not sure we're "there" just yet. We're getting closer though.

I think it's a bit early to start talking about a "defensive turnaround." We almost lost to the Lions for Pete sakes.

I agree that London is slowly improving. He's still not the East-West LB that's worth $5M however. If he continues to improve at this rate, he'll be solid by week 12 or so. He's not a bust, but I can sure think of other LBs I'd rather have who are making equal or less.

We'll know if this D has truly improved when we can hold the Pats to under 20 points. Beating up on a Miami team that handed us 6 TOs unforced and a Lion team led by a rookie QB, a mediocre (at best) RB, and no marquee WRs isn't exactly my idea of the standard for how well a D plays.

This week will be a better test. N.E.'s gonna be as fired up for this game as they're gonna be all year. Don't underestimate them. They always play us close. And unlike us, who've lost to two mediocre teams, they've lost to 4 teams that are sporting a combined 23-6 record. That was a tough stretch for them as they dropped 4.

This game means just as much for them as it does for us, perhaps even more b/c if they lose, they're out of it. If they win, then they're only a game or so out of first in the AFCE.

I'm looking for a very, very competitive game. I will say this, that if we play like we did last week vs. the Lions, then we're gonna lose. Henry needs to get the carries which Gilbride didn't give him last week in spite of the fact that he played his most consistent 1st half of the season last week. Apparently Gilbride is allergic to running the ball. We have greater than a 2-1 balance between rushing and passing. That's way too high. The weather won't be perfect this Sunday and relying solely on our passing game may haunt us. Henry will need to have 25+ carries IMO for us to win this one.

Drew does know that Pats. But they know him too. Mistakes in cold, icy weather are much more easily made.

GO BILLS!!!

London does NOT make $5mil. Any thread about the D needs to mention Big Pat.

Pat Williams. He is a Big Ninja.

Pat's a monster! Schobel is doing pretty well too. The others just aren't big or strong enough. No significant pressure on the QBs. Certainly not consistent.

colin,

Indeed you are correct. IDK why I thought he was getting paid $5M/yr. He got a $4M SB and is getting a base of just over 500K this year. So I feel better. His base goes to $1.5M next year and then $2.5, $3, and $4 over the next three seasons.

That's not bad actually. I'd still like to see him get some more production. As a MLB, he should have quite a few more tackles than he has. Especially since our D doesn't keep teams off the field and secondly since our DL is so bad.

wys, London gets about 3.5, a good value for the team. As we improve around him he will produce more and more, kinda like a Bryce paup did, but with more different skills, not just a specialist on the rush.

We need a DE, and a decent DT would not hurt, and one or two good LBs to be very good. Spikes would look nice in blue.

PS. Are those MQ boxes new, that is a good idea.

I guess Pat stayed with the 1208. I quit being a Ninja when the Union got crappy.

Me --->:chuk: :chuk: <---Pat

If only they hadn't taken away our Medical Benefits, I wouldn't have quit, but being a Ninja is dangerous.
