A Look Back At Mularkey's NFL Playing Career

Don't know if this has been posted..... it's old but good read.

Mularkey spent nine seasons as an NFL tight end with the Minnesota Vikings (1983-88) and Pittsburgh Steelers (1989-91).
Mike Mularkey, the 13th head coach of the Bills, began his NFL career in 1983. Drafted in the ninth round out of the University of Florida by the 49ers, the tight end found himself behind veterans Russ Francis, Earl Cooper and Eason Ramson on the club’s depth chart. Yet, he stayed with San Francisco until the final training camp roster cut and was then claimed off waivers by Minnesota, where he’d spend the next six seasons.
