    Councidence, I think not...

When Emmitt Smith turned on his cell phone Monday for the first time since becoming the NFL's career rushing leader, he had 34 messages.

Walter Payton was present when his record was broken....

What did you think? Do you really believe Payton was kinda of winking the eye as to say "I was with you, man. "

Emmitt is wrong about this statement:

Smith said. "He sounded pretty excited. It's like everybody in the country wanted me to get it.''

I wanted Walter to keep the record forever. Nothing against ES.

I actually wanted for Barry Sanders to take it and keep it forever.

I would have loved for #34 to get it. Thats right Thurman Thomas, never really had a chance at it, bit still would have been neat.
