Their decision to lower ticket prices was, at minimum, a step toward rebuilding a stormy relationship with their fans.
    It was a start.

The Sabres didn't convince everybody to jump aboard Wednesday, mainly because people see through a sales pitch designed to put more fannies in the seats and more money in the Sabres' pockets. The future is uncertain. Fans will proceed with their customary caution, reluctance born from getting burned before.

Sure cutting prices will help put more people in seats a little bit. But what Sabres fans want more than anything is a star player, a player that we can latch on to and win games with.

F a star, I just want a team that will win.

They were awesome at the end of last year.

Only because there had 2 terrible stretches.

The hockey at the end of the year was very entertaining and the team played very well.
