CHENEY, Wash. (AP) -- Ryan Leaf, once considered one of the NFL's most
promising young quarterbacks, has retired.
Leaf, the No. 2 overall pick in the 1998 draft, did not report to the
Seattle Seahawks' training camp Thursday when quarterbacks were due at the
team's facility at Eastern Washington University here.

i have to get a link....

Its a shame he has to wait 5 years to make it to the HOF now, with a career like that the NFL should put him in immediatly IMO

Im hoping you all sensed my sarcasm

See the incident where the guy in the stands is singing "Lonesome Loser" to him and it rattled his cage?

He got his millions. He'll never have to work again.

RedEyE

Sarcasm sensed!

Ryan Leaf destroyed his own NFL career. Like Marv Levy recently said, "Defeat is not getting knocked down," Levy said. "It's not getting up-- that's defeat."

i still think he would have been good in buffalo...

JefftheBillsfan

I never want the words Ryan Leaf and Buffalo ever to be in the same sentence again

BillsNYC
07-26-2002, 03:15 PM
ryan leaf buffalo ryan leaf buffalo ryan leaf buffalo ryan leaf buffalo ryan leaf buffalo :D

lordofgun
07-26-2002, 03:17 PM
Technically, that's not a sentence.

So the dog siad to the cow, "ryan leaf buffalo ryan leaf buffalo ryan leaf buffalo ryan leaf buffalo ryan leaf buffalo."

JefftheBillsfan
07-26-2002, 03:46 PM

BillsNYC

Ryan Leaf NOT in Buffalo = success.

It's a shame he retired...he brought so much to the league... Especially to opponents' DBs (14 TDs, 32 or 33 INTs)

lordofgun

Ryan Leaf would have been great in a Mike Sheppard offense.

If only...

JefftheBillsfan
07-26-2002, 03:50 PM
lol, i don't think anyone would be good in Mike Sheppard's offense with the exception of AVP IMO. Even so, if AVP were coached by a real WCO O.C. I think he would have been better.

Thanks, Jeff!

I made it up after our second hosing by the refs against the pats last year. Without their '12th man' they would never have made the SB last year.

Just like his name sake (Leaf), he hung onto the food supply until he dried up and withered away. At least stepped away now before he was raked up, tossed into the mulch pile and turned into compost.

See I did it and didn't even say Buffalo....Doh!

He doesn't have the right brain type to be an NFL QB, which is basically why he struggles.
