Bills Offense Read for New Scheme

The Buffalo Bills offense struggled last season and new head coach Mike Mularkey has just the remedy, a new scheme focused on the run and protecting quarterback Drew Bledsoe.

Last season Bledsoe was sacked 49 times and the Bills offense finished 30th in the league after being so dominant in 2002. But now, the Bills have installed a new playbook and everyone seems to be very optimistic. Bledsoe said he and his teammates took advantage of learning the system in this past spring's organized team activities.

"We've finished installing and now we're going back and reviewing," he said. "We've been through it (the offense) now a few different times and we got a lot done (this past spring.) We're right where we need to be to start training camp."

Bledsoe already seems comfortable in the new scheme and said this offense is designed around his strengths. It will help him make faster reads and find open receivers.
