I tried to fill Ty's water dish and there's no water. They've been working on the water lines down the road, and they must be getting closer, but they should warn you if they're gonna shut it off on you.

Are they replacing lines? Or was there a break? If there was a break and they are repairing it..... not their fault. BUT... in your post it sounds like you knew work was going on. Sorry.. I don't feel sorry for ya. Should've planned ahead for the possibility. :cynic:

I still don't feel for ya. You knew they were out there working on the lines. Most people are always screaming about "wasted money and wasted time" (by government/city employees). How long have you lived there? Maybe (for whatever reason) the project wasn't finished last time. Maybe they needed to increase the size of the lines. Maybe they didn't plan on shutting the water off today, but were only doing the prep work and something went wrong - a fitting blew apart/equipment operator hit the line.... there's all kinds of possibilities.

They better have a good reason. :club: lol..

Speaking of screaming...it was a little frustrating to see the police guard who's blocking the road sitting in his expensive car. One had a Mercedes, one had a Lexus, and one had some brand new SUV. They must pay the cops a good salary around here, they can'tall be married to a rich wife! :D

I talked to the water guys on the way to borrow my sister's shower..I was right..no warning..

they said, "We did away with that." :cynic:

Good thing I got all the laundry done yesterday!

I never doubted you didn't get a personal warning.... but you obviously knew they were in the area working. The flip side of the coin, they could completely neglect the system and down the road you'd really be in a world of hurt.

Now cut that out. They should have personally gone to every single house and told the occupant there that the water was going to be shut down. Dammit, Ruby might have been in the backyard watering her begonias when the water cut out. That is a travisty. Now she is gonna have to go to the store to buy some Poland Springs.
