Jim McNally has returned to his roots in Western New York and enters training camp working to turn around an offensive line that gave up 49 sacks last season. He also faces the challenge of molding together a new group of men after the departure of guard Ruben Brown to the Chicago Bears.

He will have the task of helping to select a starting left guard between candidates Ross Tucker, Mike Pucillo, and Marques Sullivan, but McNally's track record proves he's up to the task. He has had success every place he has coached from college to the NFL.

McNally started his playing days in the late 1950s at Kenmore West High School, located in a suburb outside of Buffalo. For his performance there, he was later inducted into the school's Hall of Fame. After graduation, he went on to play guard at the University at Buffalo from 1961 to 1964. That was just the beginning of his career in Buffalo.
