youve lost important AFC games and all but one of your wins came against NFC teams....you seem to lose against healthy winning teams....however the Patriots are coming in on a 4 game losing streak, with all losses coming to 4 Contenders Chargers,Dolphins,Packers, and Broncos....they bearly managed to pull a win out in KC....should they be considered a losing team going into Buffalo?

I guarantee you we'll beat the jets when we play them again.

same with the fins, and we'll sweep the pats.

so you might as well just add another 4 wins to our record right now.

We won't finish any worse then 9-7, but 11-5, 12-4 is more likely.

I think we know who the Bully of the NFL is....just remeber not to abuse the losing teams too much or the winning teams will make you pay...maybe thats why after 6 turnovers the Dolphins were still in it....the Bills knew what was coming on DEC1.

In the NFL, until you clinch homefield advantage in the playoffs or until you have no shot at clinching anything, every game is important. We are 5-3 in important games.

If you are talking about getting tie breakers if I remember correctly we got a pretty important one a couple weeks ago. Could you remind me what that game was?

After this week when the Bills will have a better record than the Dolphins, will this be your excuse for still ranking the Bills below the Dolphins? If so, you should try and find another more valid point.

A Win is a Win. I'll take 5 out of 8 any day. Half way to a playoff spot. Wass up.

I can't wait until we beat Miami on 12/1 and get the tie-breaker. It's going to be such a sweet feeling.

One cool thing about the NFL is at the end of the season they add up the number of times you won games and they compare that to the number of times other teams won games and whoever has more gets to keep playing.

Cool huh?

If we would have lost to all the teams we defeated their combined record would be 18-18

If we would have won all the teams we lost to the combined record would be 9-13.

People tend to forget that we added to those teams won/loss totals.

Exactly- WCF's point is particularly stupid and useless in this thread.

Like I said in WCF's defense before, you're only allowed to play who's on your schedule. It isn't the Bills' fault that they played who they did. It IS their fault that those teams they beat have another L in the loss column, though.

Parity is a great thing in the NFL, you suck and you get a last place schedule. You win the division and you get a first place schedule. Why hold it against us?
The Patsies played a 4th or 5th place schedule last year on the road to the SB.
Didn't we have one of the toughest schedules going into this year based on teams records last year?

BillsMan80
10-30-2002, 04:22 PM
You see WestCoastFin, the NFL doesn't have Computer Rankings. The NFL doesn't have strength of schedule. The NFL Doesn't have an AP and ESPN/USA Today Poll. The NFL doesn't use computers. The only thing the NFL does is take the amount of games that you score more points than your opponent, and divide that into the total number of games you play for a winning percentage. Nothing having to do with computers or anything. In the NFL, you win games, you're going to the playoffs. However ugly we are winning, the simple fact is that WE ARE WINNING games, and that's the bottom line because I said so.

That's not true anymore as of this year- no more unbalanced schedules where last place teams get "easier" schedules. The schedules are known in advance for years to come.

Thus, we don't get the benefit of an "easier" schedule. In fact, going into the season our schedule was rated the toughest in the league if I recall correctly.

To answer your question....no. Miami is the defending champs and Oklahoma would destroy them.
