With players like Losman participating in mini-camps, what happens if they get injured before they finalize their rookie contract?
What happens if a draft pick gets injured before being signed?

to my knowledge they are SOL...that is why some of the big names will not come in until they are signed.
For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.

I imagine each players signs an insurance waiver of types covering both them and the team or else the team/NFL would be completely liable should the guy get injured and decide to sew.COMING SOON...

While there is no formal process to cover this, generally the team will act in good faith signing the player. I know the Patriots signed Brock Williams to a market deal, in accordance to his draft slot, despite suffering a knee injury in minicamp that caused him to miss his rookie season. Cleveland has already said they will sign Jones to a market contract and won't try to use his injury as leverage.

Ouch!
