I love when people who have never played football try to tell me it's an easy sport. I remember argueing in highschool with the track team about who has a harder hell week. For football for us that was a week and a half of double sessions, 3 hours each, full pads full contact. For track it was 1 hour of running a day. We run for an hour after practice too. Screw track! lol. Sorry for the rant, we got into this debate again yesterday and we aren't even in highschool anymore haha.

I had some kid tell me that soccer was rougher than football once. I was so close to punching him in the mouth.

I can tell by people's analysis of games if they ever played or not. I don't put much energy into arguing with people who never played.

I know stats are for losers- but one stat that doesn't lie are injuries.

Look at football and the length of the careers. And look at the number of players who leave the game with some sort of injury that debilitates them the rest of their lives- like arthritis and gimpy knees.

When I played football the soccer **** always tried telling us soccer was harder because they "ran alot"... I would tell them that we ran "alot" too only we wore shoulder pads, helmets, and the like.

I hate when the uninformed try to tell you that Rugby is WAY rougher than football, since they don't wear "padding." I hate the word padding to describe football equipment, I digress...

They don't know that the MFing "padding" just lets you whale one someone that much harder. There's no way there's as hard of hits in Rugby than football. I'm sure it's rough, sure. But "padding" only goes so far.
