The Buffalo Bills are looking to improve their return game. Last preseason the Bills returned two punts for touchdowns in only a span of three games, but during the regular season the unit was unable to find the endzone. In fact, the Bills return team ranked 31st in the league in 2003.

The Bills averaged just six yards per punt return last season, 3.5 yards below the league average. In 2003, Antonio Brown started off the year as the main man, but by the mid-point in the season he was replaced by cornerback Nate Clements. Both men could be in the competition this year as well.

Also in the mix are Bobby Shaw, Terrence McGee, Shaud Williams, and Drew Haddad.

Bobby Shaw was the punt returner while he and head coach Mike Mularkey were in Pittsburgh. Mularkey knows his past success and that may give Shaw a slight edge.

I'd be OK with Shaw. He may not be a superstar, but I've come to admire his tenacity. He has a nack for making plays when it matters. Since his WR role just got diminished, this might work out quite well.
