it worked well last year, a change of pace. That and some of us already have 3 drafts labor day.

I have 9 live drafts this year...it's kinda nice to have at least one where I don't have to do anything other than pre-rank. :biggrin:

I'm hesitant about an autodraft, too. I've got a pre-ranking idea for the first few rounds, but how do you make sure your bench covers the right positions?

Since we have a thread draft now in the works, we need to fill the last few spots, and determine the order. Who knows a good way to determine the order?

Do a random order then snake it.

List the teams in alphabetical order, then run the randomizer. First team gets the first number, etc.

That's how we (MM & I) did our league last year, and it works great. The snake system (1,2,3 . . . 11,12//12,11 . . .2,1//1,2 . . .) really balances things out, and still makes for interesting trade options.

Actually may I suggest drawing random order for every odd round and snake the even? That way the person with #10 and #11 aren't ALWAYS there (some don't like it).

So you'd have to do 8 (or 9) random draws.
