It's the double Ns in the middle.

I think it will be Tyrone at first. Bannan will take over late in the season or next year.

LOL Tatonka!!!

Exactly! They have tickets to sell during the preseason as well, and I'm quite sure that the coaches have all been fully briefed as to what not to say.

They said the same things last year about Flowers, Larsen, etc. I was, and still am big on Larsen. But he really didn't show much last year. The guys a freak in terms of strength. But he needs to translate that strength to football savvy.

I guess I'm expecting the most out of Edwards first since he was a higher draft pick, and then from Robertson. They're the likely two candidates to me. Bannon, a 5th rounder, isn't going to be doing anything until perhaps the end of the year, and even then, I doubt he'll be "what we need" by then. If he were that good, then he wouldn't have been drafted so late. I'm guessing he would have slipped another round had we not taken him either.

We really need a couple of guys to step up. Perhaps both Robertson and Edwards. 2 DTs can take 100% of the defensive snaps. We can't put in a line that on third downs teams know they can run against and audible to do so.

Having said that BTW, I am optimistic, but only cautiously. I'm of the opinion that if someone offered us right now to prematurely be the 18th ranked rushing D in the league, I'd jump on it.

Robertson is going to have a big year. He is the reason TD hasn't jumped at a DT free agent.

Larson won't be on the team IMO. Who gives a crap if he is the strongest guy on the team. He can't play!

I don't think that being named starter is going to be really significant. If it is Tyrone, some other guys are still going to get quite a few reps, especially in obvious running situations.

Well said TigerJ.

It is good to have 2 guys who can start at all. Rotate in certain situations to preserve wear and tear and we will be solid at LT for a while.

It will take a bit to see who will shine the brightest.

:fishfry: :chuk: Could be Robison or Edwards depending on whether Par will end up the over or under Tackle!

Right now Edwards is listed on the depth chart behind Pat.

BTW, WGR reported that Robertson left practice with a shoulder injury. Anyone here of any details on this?

Our Young DTs had some great moments last season getting up the feild, they also get trapped a lot and run past. I think a strong rotation and a MUCH better set of LBs + SS will make our D better. Top 5 in the AFC.
