No signing bonus. When traded to Miami, all signing bonus was accelerated onto the Saints salary cap. Miami will save
2004: $3.735 million
2005: $3.74 million
2006: $3.5 million
Plus incentives. An escalator clause takes the incentives earned and adds them to future salaries, so Miami will save more in 2005 & 2006. -

Wait a minute...didn't Ricky just re-do his deal? Including receive a signing bonus? That's what they said on ESPN and now Miami might try to get the signing bonus back. Or at least $3.3 million of it.
