Guess is that its a weight issue, as some of you guys mentioned yesterday.

Its not confirmed, but HS said word is Williams came into camp tipping the scales at 380!!!

He signed the second-richest contract in Bills history! So far, I'd call him a bust.

I think he's listed at around 325 BTW...

If that's true, the Bills need to be monitoring this stuff in the offseason.

I'll save the word bust for when I hear what's going on.

He most certainly isn't going to lose any of that weight sitting in his dorm room feeling sorry for himself eating twinkies!

What a joke. Im sick of these NFL players complaining on how they need their summers off(not all players say this) But your average Joe has 2 lousy weeks off a year stuck in a crap job. All this guy had to do was stay in shape and show up from time to time for an OTA...to play ball with his boyz...really hard mike. I feel bad his grandmother died but come on bro...when he is getting paid the money he is, my sympathy only runs so far......Can we fine him for showing up to came out of shape? I think Mularkey really needs to set the tone and maybe make an example out of this guy.

Guys, we have no clue why he's out of practice. We're not being told anything. It may very well be a legit, acceptable, understandable reason. It may also be total crap. Let's chill and wait to see before we start planning our stoning of him.

He missed that game last year after being in a car accident. Maybe he’s just a moron or something.

According to the Bills web site

"Tuesday PM

Offensive tackle Mike Williams, who was excused from Monday's afternoon workout for personal reasons, was not present when the Bills took the field for
Tuesday's afternoon session. Head Coach Mike Mularkey will address the media after practice. Stay tuned to buffalobills.com for complete coverage of training camp, including practice video and photos. The Bills will host the first of two Wednesday evening practices tomorrow evening from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Tickets for the night practice are free and are limited to six per person"

Is he going to address it like yesterday?

Yeah, my bad.. he's listed at 360. The weights listed on the roster are such a joke sometimes that I didn't bother to check.

:o: He needs to loose 40 lbs. before the season starts. I want to too. I think I'll just get a second circumcision. :D

It is an inexcused absence.

even at that if he is listed to play at 360 he should have atleast shown up around that target weight and not 20+ LBS.

You got it. I'd say being sad is a pretty bad reason.

As per simoncast, the absence was inexcused and he will be fined. He's suffering from "emotional" problems. The team is not happy with him.

Of course it will. That's how the goofy media works. In any event; it appears to be a poor excuse afterall. Depression? Unless he's in need of some serious medication, this is a ridiculous excuse.

Very simply...

"WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...they put me on the second team....WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

too frikkin bad...in the "professional" world people get rewarded for doing more than the minimum...if Price made everything, busted his a$$ and moved ahead then tough bullfeathers...

TD: "now Mike...about those $3 mil dollar roster bonuses in 2005 and 2006..."

Here's my thoughts on this situation.

First, missing a day or two of practice, especially this early in training camp is really nothing. I don't think he'll be any worse come the start of the season then he would've been had he been here.

However, I wonder about what this does for the rest of the lines confidence in Mike and his place in the team. Football is a sport for tough guys and the lines are supposed to be the toughest guys on the team. I can't imagine that he still has the same level of respect from his teammates after skipping out for the depression thing. Is this going to cost us? Who knows ... but I don't think it's going to help us.
