Jeff Morrison... talked to Tom Donahoe.

MWilliams IS NOT excused from practice today, and WILL be fined starting today.

TD Spoke to Mike yesterday and expected him at practice today.

Mike IS at St. John's Fisher, but NOT on the field.

Mike is dealing with emotional issues.

WGR just had the same thing. Donahoe said it is NOT related to him being demoted to 2nd string

somebody needs to smack mike in the head and to deal with his grandmothers death. I mean I know how it feels to lose a grandparent , but at the same time if I remember correctly that happend sometime ago.

I have emotional issues too (who doesn't) but if I don't show for work I won't get fined but they will replace the "n" in the word "fined" with an "r". Big Wuss Williams; go practice and then sulk all you want. You are employed by the Buffalo Bills and you are making a large amount of money. Go to work! People are depending on you.

Not only a cap hit but a huge cap hit. Not even an option.

This is one of the problems with the salary cap. You can't cut players for insubordination. Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying we cut big Mike. But remember when Albert Connell stole money out of Deuce McAllisters locker? Haslett couldn’t even cut (or fire) him immediately because the Saints would have taken a cap hit. Ridiculous, the NFL needs a clause to protect teams.

I am just afraid that after all of this... MW will be our whipping boy like Ricky is for the Phins.

If that happens.... his contribution to this team/organization goes down the tubes.

Also, I agree.

If I lose a family member, I have 3 days of leave time at work. Get his ass back on the field.

From the AP ...

TD talked with MW's agent but wouldn't give details or a reason for MW's absence and DID NOT KNOW WHEN HE WOULD RETURN.

Williams fined for missing Bills practice

JOHN WAWROW, AP Sports Writer
Tuesday, August 3, 2004

(08-03) 13:41 PDT PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) --

Buffalo Bills tackle Mike Williams failed to show for the team's practice Tuesday and will be fined.

Bills President Tom Donahoe said Williams was scheduled to attend Tuesday's session after being excused Monday for personal reasons.

Donahoe added Williams will be fined again if he fails to attend either of Wednesday's two practices.

"He'll be fined each day he's not here. He's under contract with the Buffalo Bills and he should be here with his teammates," Donahoe said.

Neither Williams or his agent David Dunn could be reached for comment.

Donahoe said he spoke to both men but would not reveal details of those conversations. He would not divulge a reason for Williams' absence and said he did not know when Williams would return.

I know right. Dedicate the season to her honor and go out there and DOMINATE. I did that in college one year and really did very well. I know he can do it, if I did. :D

What happened to Ryan Young? He was good enough to be a prize for the Houston Texans when they joined the league... They agreed to take older CB's with big contracts in exchange for getting him, cause the Jets knew they weren't gonna keep him anyway.

Oh well.

* No viable RT.
* No viable C.
* Only one viable G.
* QB with the mobility of a birdbath.

It's going to look like a jailbreak everytime we snap the ball.
