    Gildon Committed to Success

Jason Gildon is ready to win. He signed as a free agent this off-season with the Buffalo Bills because he believed they will do just that.

"I wanted to go to a team that had a chance to win now," Gildon said. "We really have all the pieces in place here (Buffalo), we just need to play as a team and get the job done."

Gildon has been fitting in nicely with his new teammates and is learning as much as he can about the defensive scheme. Because he signed a bit later than most free agents, he was unable to participate in spring organized team activities.

Despite trying to catch up, Gildon said he's having a great time with his new team.

"It's been a different experience but so far so good," Gildon said. "I've come to a quality team in the Buffalo Bills and I'm just taking it day-by-day and having fun."

Gildon has been seeing most of his playing time at defensive end, a position that he has rarely played. He had been a starting linebacker for Pittsburgh in his ten seasons with the Steelers. He was a dominant pass rusher there recording 77 sacks making him the Steelers' all-time leader.
