I would have given Bledsoe, next years #1 and this years #3 to the friggen Chargers for Manning. Drivin me nuts. I knew and KNOW he will be incredible in the NFL.
Dangit - I knew, friggen knew, we shoulda got Manning

I don't know if they would have taken it, but Manning does sound all what he was billed to be. Games are what proves the man though, not practices. Watch Losman be better than him in a couple years, and it'll all be forgotten. JP's been throwing well also.

The Chargers would want a hell of a lot more to slide to the 13th pick than just to the 4th pick.
Try all of our day 1 picks in 2004, and most likely another 1 and a 2- and/or possibly a decent OL starter like Jennings.
Then add in the huge contract he got- easy for a sucky team to absorb because they don't have a lot of big time talent. it would kill our cap.
And who in their right mind is going to take Bledsoe after last year?
