Listening to him score 3 TD's in 3 goal-line plays got me thinking. Is McGahee considered a rookie, eligible for the award? I know in baseball, you have to have under a certain #of at bats to be still considered a rookie. So I wondered if Willis could win, since he didn't play at all last year. Anyone know the rule? :confused2

Since there is no "minor league' - there is no rookie eligibility.

Comeback player of the year might be an option

Lee Evans is taking ROY this year anyway

Evans for ROY
McGahee for Comeback Player

On the comeback player note is there anybody else who is coming back from anything that is of any note?

As far as the entire NFL goes...

Garrison Hearst could possibly get it (though it'd be sort of embarassing to win it for the 3rd time).
Possibly someone like Charlie Garner or Duce Staley.
Roosevelt Colvin missed all of last year... maybe he'd be considered.
