View Full Version : 2004...How do u see the Bills?

Bills -If Offensive line is good Offense will be in the top 10 (Much better than 30th). It will all depend on O-line. WR could be great. Mould will be great now that he is healthy. How great the wide receivers are will depends on the rookie Lee Evans. Can he hold on to the ball? We know that Travis Henry is a great running back and hopefully so is McGahee. QB will be solid if O-line can protect. Can Bills lower Bledsoe's sack totals?

Defense - Needs a pass rushing LDE. The LDE play will be major to the season. Can one of our two 2nd round draft pick stand up and be that players? LB play will be great - nice talent. Secondary needs to make plays on the ball. I do not see this team as a top 5 defensive team. If they finish in top 10 with a major improvement in turnovers, I would be happy.

Which team will we see this year...hopefully the one that started last year playing NE and not the one that ended the year playing NE. I am hoping by year end this is one of the top 5 or 6 teams in the NFL. I do believe this is a very reachable goal. I hope so, as Dallas has our first pick next year.

You are insane if you think any less than 12-4 will win this division

NE will be as good, if not better than last year. They lost no one and picked up Corey Dillon.

when are you people going to realize that NE ight not steam roll through the league just because on paper they should? Tampa was supposed to win again last year and no playoffs. in fact, no sb winning team has even made the playoffs the following year since the 2000 Rams.

Injuries, Bad Luck, and Other things that cannot be measured on paper come into the eqaution as well.

That was only 4 years ago ....

... and that means NOTHING in football.

Look at the Broncos in 97' and 98' making the SB 2 years running and winning 1 of them.

And winning the Superbowl means NOTHING the next year anymore in the new NFL. Who picked the Pats / Panthers last year. Or Raiders / Bucs or Pats / Rams year before that. New NFL. Pats are by no means a shoe in.

Ditka picked the Patriots in the SB last year

The main guy on the CBS pre-game show actually picked both teams, bucs and raiders, in the SB then

And most people picked the Rams to be in the SB before that. No one picked the Pats though

They lost no one? They lost Ted Washington... a HUGE loss. And Dillon will be a huge disappointment for them.

Last year I said the Bills would be 7-9
The year before, I predicted 6-10

I was 3 games off for two seasons... not too shabby.

This year? 9-7 tied for 2nd AFCE with the Jets

The Pats will take the AFCE with an 11-5 or 12-4 record. I've been Brady's biggest critic, but to be honest, last year he began to win me over... and while he's not got half the arm that Joe Montana had, I’m beginning to see the basis for the comparisons. I've a sickening feeling we'll be consigned to the role of the Marino lead Dolphins to the Kelly lead Bills for the next 4 to 6 years with the Brady lead Pats owning us like Kelly used to own the 'fins.

We will be 10-6 with the entire league dreaming of how 2 stop our 2 headed monster {HENRY, MCGAHEE}>>>>>>>>>>>

As I posted in the other thread, I now firmly believe we will be 6-10. The oline is going to kill the team (along with Drew).

Teague sucks at center
Big mike moving to LG (could be good in the future but still a ?)
Jennings is average
Villarial is decent but nothing special
Price/Pucillo/Tucker will all be out of the league in another year or two.

I just don't get how the coaches can't see how big a problem this is. They certainly didn't address it in the draft, and Villarial was the only pickup.

Mr. Pessimist....the run game alone will bring down the sack total.

Guys, what happened to the coaching going to make the O-line better? Sounds like no one is seeing an improvement in the line play.

It's been a week! A week where one of your starters was a no show!

Let’s just hope we see improvements in the next couple of weeks as it has been a week and a number of camps. This year the Bills will be as good as our Oline plays.

Give McNally time, I'm confident that he'll have this OL's pass blocking seriously improved by the time week 1 rolls around.

The first team barely played yesterday from what I gather. Next week will be a great test against a good Broncos team with 1 game already under their belts.

ravens won the 01 sb and was in the 02 playoffs(lost to pitt)- brady dont have the arm montana had?are you out of your skull??? you cant possible mean arm strength- montana is not making that throw brady made in the ot game vs miami last year- in the qb challenge 3 years ago tom threw the ball 65 yards-and a 66 yard pass(went out of bounds)-and 2 years ago threw the ball 63 yards into a strong wind- to win. montana is the best(until tom takes that honor),but joe did not have bradys arm strength. and you werent sold on tom after his first and second year?? ALL I CAN SAY IS,WOW.

as for the bills, 8-8. possibly 9 wins if brady goes down. they still got bledsoe which is a negative and only have moulds to really make a difference in the passing game. weak offensive line.very little pass rush. 8-8 sounds about right

Let's hope this does not happen this season. It would mean we had some issues.

7-9. Too many questions on special teams, offense, and overall depth.
