Wow, can't say I'm very suprised. Where did you find out about this?

BillsMan80
07-27-2002, 11:19 PM
It was on JetsConfidential.

Valerie

Why would news about a Bills player be on the Jets confidential board?

Cowart is now a Jet, Jaded.... you got to read the front page more often! LOL :D

Too busy drooling over the midget to pay attention to the current roster, eh? :D

Valerie

Yup, Ally. lol I guess I know as much about football as you do. And by the looks of some of your shouts earlier, you know more than I do. lol Way to go, Ally! :)

So jaded, whose team are you a fan of?

Valerie
07-27-2002, 11:43 PM
The Bills. lol I just don't pay attention to who's on the team. lol

BillsMan80
07-27-2002, 11:44 PM
Oh I see...

Valerie
07-27-2002, 11:46 PM
I'll see who's on the team when I go to a game. There are too many changes during the off season and I can get easily confused. I'd rather wait until opening day to get to know the players and the team. :)

Well, that is an interesting way of doing it...

Um, I don't know about that...today is the first day I've ever even visited the official Bills site or looked at the roster. LOL. Now I just have to get some of you football people to pay attention to hockey. :D

Ally, I've been slowly paying attention to hockey. I even started watching some of the play-off games. :) I'm working on it.

Ummm, what does this have to do with Sam Cowart?

Jaded,

"Ally, I've been slowly paying attention to hockey. I even started watching some of the play-off games. I'm working on it."

Why, is Doug playing hockey now... :D

Boyhowdy,

I guess that's all the interest in Cowart this thread drew. Anyway, that's a shame, about Cowart!

Come on Fletcher!!!

BTW, that will very significantly hamper the Jets year. That would be no small loss for them. Big money huge hole to fill.

Oh well, they knew they were gambling when they signed him. Now they know why we wouldn't pay more for him. He's worse than RJ from an injury perspective.

Big surpise huh, its only the beginning for them. Even when Sam gets healthy for a spell, he won't be the same. I hope everyone that has been complaining about the move can quit crying about losing him now.

I think Eddie Robinson will do about as good of a job here as Cowart would have to be honest.

Sucks to be the Jets :chuckle:

It always sucks to be the Jets, CP. :)

I still think that Cowart can be a force at LB..when healthy...but when will that be?? I don't believe he's played a full season yet..has he? It appears that he may be one of those unfortunate athletes who are "wrapped too tight" and prone to those types of injuries..tears and pulls...but that is just my opinion..I could be wrong.:woot:

The Jets are going to have a tough time playing D this year. They were horrible last year, and have lost a bunch of talent.

I think they are gonna be under 500, last place in the AFCE

When you're a Jet,
You're a Jet all the way
You take what you get
Signin’ washed up FA’s.
When you're a Jet,
Let 'em do what they can.
You got no defense,
After Sam pulls a ‘ham!

XQ's me wys, but if you take a look at when Sam & RJ were healthy, Sam had more talent by far. I still think people are being too hard on Sam. It could have gone either way. Get his health back, or get injured again. He believed in himself as a player, and that he could over come his injuries, therefore asked for his worth in monies. It's called a positive attitude. I find nothing wrong with that, and I wished him well. What I want to know is, what else did they say about this injury? Is he out for camp, or the whole season?

Now that Cowart is injured this pretty much makes it a little more evenly matched for you guys.....

Mybills, RJ had tons of talent the problem with him is he doesn't have the mental makeup to be a top notch player in the NFL. That what was so frustrating with him. Tampa will soon realize the RJ on the practice field is not the RJ you get on gameday unless he is sidelined with an injury.
Cowart is just as injury prone as RJ but Cowart has the mental capacity to be a stud when he is healthy. Cowart is too risky of a player you want on your team with a high salary and is inability to stay healthy.

Cowart hurt!?!?!?!? What are the odds. What's next RJ getting hurt? How weird would that be. Imagine...RJ and SC hurt at the same time. That never could happen...
