The Buffalo Bills' defense is the picture of stability as the battles for roster spots begin in earnest in tonight's preseason opener against the Denver Broncos.
Ten of 11 starters are back from last year's defense, which ranked second in the NFL in yards allowed and fifth in points allowed. What's more, 10 of the 11 second-stringers are the same as last year.

That's great to return 10 of your 11 starters and backups, especially when the 11th man on the starting defense figures to be better than his predecessor, and the depth is better as well.
