Miami signs WR Antonio Freeman to a 1 year deal
Freeman signs with Dolphins
Former Packers wide receiver Antonio Freeman signed a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins today. Freeman is the fifth leading receiver in Green Packers history.
Freeman, entering his 10th season, has played in 132 games and started in 91. Freeman served as the Packers’ No. 4 receiver for much of the 2003 season, playing in the final 15 regular season games and both playoff games. He finished with 14 catches for 141 yards.
Freeman played eight of his nine seasons for the Packers, finishing with 431 catches for 6,651 yards (15.4 avg. per catch) and 57 touchdowns.
Freeman gives the Dolphins relief to a depleted receiving corps. Starter David Boston tore the patellar tendon in his left knee on Aug. 6 during combined workouts with the Texans.
