The Rob Johnson thread spurred this idea- who are the worst players/coaches in Bills history and why?

I'll start with the obvious ones-
Rob Johnson- $25 Million for 3 good games and a 2-14 season
Gregg Williams/Kevin Gilbride- I'm sure this needs no further explanation.

Who else?

Chris Watson - Our favorite punt catcher.

To be fair, before the year he really sucked it up, he was a pretty good special teams player (coverage, not return)...and he was an ok nickel back. Then he nosedived the next season.

I was going to say...this will be interesting based on the age of the poster.

try almost any player on the 1968, 1971 and 1984/5 Bills.

Richie Lucas, first round pick, 1960
Walt Patulski, first round pick, 1972
Al Cowlings, second round pick, 1970(?)
Billy Joe Hobert, useless jerk

To name just a few of my all time "favorites."

I forgot about this guy- taking up way more space on the bench than should ever be allocated to a QB. He was pretty damn useless.

He was terrible, a couple ints here and there but if the took him deep and they did often he ran like he had cement shoes on. He then left to sign $5mil/yr deal only to be cut after 1 season.

Wow- that was only 4 years ago and I don't think any of those guys are still playing (other than Smith and Nails).

Antonio Brown may be on his way as well- plays great in pre-season then can't do a damn thing when it counts.

Yeah Bryce Fisher is playing, I think for one of the teams that was the first preseason monday night game....maybe ther Rams?

That list of names covered a lot of years.....but I think most are out of the league now. Robert Hicks is with the Raiders now...and is actually the primary backup at RT...

That isn't saying much concidering Winstom left and Leonard Little is having some kind of personal problems so he isn't playing this year.

We lost the Super Bowl long before Norwood was asked to make a 47 yarder on grass, in the rain. Levy got out coached by the Tuna, and we got outplayed.

I'll cut Harvey a small amount of slack- he was never a coach by trade- he was the team's head scout and twice took over as coach after late rwsignations. HC Joe Collier quit 2 games into the 1969 season, and Johnny Raush quit in the preseason in 1971

My vote goes to Rausch- he used the greatest player in the game in 1970 as a decoy- OJ Simpson.

The one positive about Cousineau was that when he came back from the CFL, we still held his rights...until we traded him to Cleveland for the 14th overall pick in the 1983 Draft. I think the guy we got out of that turned out decent. ;)

We actually signed him. Houston made him an outlandish offer (peanuts by today's standards!) which the Bills had to match in order to get anything for him. So we matched the offer, signed him, and then traded him to Cleveland.

It was a tough time to be a Bills fan.
