Is it possible?

If twelfth isn't the worst position, what is?

I'd rather be 12th than 9th-11th this year.

IMO, the best spots are 4, 5, 6 or 7 in a 12 man...

Why?

Because the dropoff from 9-12 is close to nothing and you get to pick first in rd 2.

12-13 is way worse than 9-16

The drop off from 13 to 16 isn't as big as the drop off from 9 to 12.

Plus it takes freaking forever for it to be your turn to draft again. 22 players go each time before you get to pick.

Another reason not to have too many bench spots.

The disadvantage of drafting last isn't huge but it's there. If that disadvantage translates into early season losses then it could become an advantage as you get first shot at the good free agents that inevitably emerge.

I like having bench spots. I am a wheeler and dealer. I don't need roster restrictions. They are gay.

Anyone can win from any position. It's my experience that FAs build championships just as much as the draft

yeah you can win.. it is all about the waiver wire once the season starts..

i drafted 11th last year in my keeper league.. my first 2 picks were mack and barlow.. i ended up being the top scoring team.. because i drafted well and was on top of the waiver wire.

I hate drafting first. It's too much pressure.

the highest I have ever drafted is 6, and have been in the playoffs every year, and usually am contending for the championship. I agree that the wire is what determines champions.
