I'm not as excited for this year's NHL2K5, mostly because last year wasn't as stellar as I wanted. We shall see, though.

this game looks good.... much better franchiese mode a new mode where you can challenge NHL all star teams that were made up... more things to do in the skybox... this game is gonna be sweet...

It's all about the gameplay, I'm afraid. While I loved the graphical improvements to 2K4, I thought the gameplay took a step back. The goalies did some stupid crap (The lateral movement was trash, too many people play one-timer only offense, and the goalies cannot react), and the CPU used non-stop turbo boost. I'm hoping that the gameplay is 2K3-perfect, with the Enhanced Stick Control integrated nicely. Don't get me wrong, I've been a Sega fan moreso than EA's game since NHL 2K2.

Kush Games Took Over the Franchise Development halfway thru the development Cycle in 2003 so they only had half the time that everyone else in the the software world had to develope the game..

from what i was told when i was beta testing... this year Kush had alot more time.. the took the GFX ENgine and Finished It... it wasnt complete in 2K4... they made Higher Resolution Textures.. added the Rest of the Sequnces.. audiences... jumbo trons ice girls... the sabre's on the jumbo tron blowing smoke.. etc etc. etc...

AS For hte Goalie Situation.. its only a matter of time before some lo-life that doesnt even play real hockey figures out some stupid glitch and posts it all over the internet...

Oh yeah, I'm quite aware. I'm some what of a fanatic for this series. I was a post-a-holic on Thunderpuck, but then I migrated to ESPNHockey.net when WAZ took his show on the road. I thought Treyarch put out a superior product. With a full development cycle, Kush should be putting out a better game than last year. If they put out some of the same glitches as last year, then that excuse won't fly too well.....

I hope that they don't just focus on presentation. While the NFL2K series continues to improve on its presentation every year, so does the game. I'm hoping the same takes place in NHL2K. I always have thought, though, that Sega treats its hockey product as the bastard offspring, though. I guess since more sales go to football (In general), there isn't as large a demand to focus on the hockey product.

I know what you mean. That's how the dreaded 'S-move' became so popular for 2K3. I think the crap with all the one-timers last year in 2K4 was pretty evident, as 3/4 of the online games in 2K4 use it to score.

whats funny is last time i played online.. the guy swore the only way you can score is on up close one timers and "s-curves.."

I Brought My Lil Brother as a Guest That Way I Have another Player On the Ice that Doesnt Act like a Dumb CPU Player...

Anyway.. I Out Shot the Dude 45-12, And the Score was 7-1... 6 Point Shot Goals (Zhitnik x2, Mckee x2, Briere x1 [PP], Satan x1 [PP])..... and 1 Point Man Sneaking In Goal (Kalinin Moving IN From the Point)....

All that after the dude said regular hockey strategy didnt work.. hehe..

oh his win loss for all-star was like 55-12, mine was 0-3 Because I dont play it online that much cuz hte new one is coming out..

hopefully we get W-L-T-OTL online instead of W-L-D
