So I went to the new Soldier Field Saturday

Sweet. Jumbotrons at both ends of the stadium. The inside is awesome. The outside it looks like a prison toilet, but inside it is really nice. We were in the corner of the endzone, like where Pat sits, but 17 rows up.

Tank Johnson is gonna be a player. Especially with Ogun next to him. Tommie Harris looks like he is all mouth.

Sounds nice. Too bad the Bears still suck.

That stadium just looks wierd from the outside. You have this brand new stadium built inside the old one.

It looks awful from the outside, but so does that new shredded stainless steel bandshell and giant jelly bean in Grant Park. Some stainless steel guy must be in cahoots with the mayor.

Old Soldier Field: beautiful on outside, pit on inside
New Soldier Field: ugly on outside, really nice on inside.

              Which is better?

Didn't the outside become a landmark and that is why they couldn't tear it down?

Next time you are in Chicago, you should head over the Shedd's Aquarium, it is pretty impressive there.

In a jar, on a shelf, next to the unopened Miracle Whip.

You should have seen the old bathrooms at Soldier Field.

They have done a nice job turning that whole area into a "Museum Campus" with the Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Adler Planetarium, and Soldier Field. I think you can walk through where the big columns are anytime.
