Quincy Carter to the AFC EAST?!?!?!

Free agent quarterback Quincy Carter, released by the Dallas Cowboys on Aug. 4 after allegedly testing positive in violation of the NFL substance abuse policy, flew to New York on Monday night and will meet Tuesday with Jets officials, ESPN.com has learned.

Apparently he may sign with the Jets to backup Pennington.

That would be a nice addition for the Jets.

I'd take him over Brown. He got a team without much offensive talent to the postseason. I'm sure he could do it with Willis, Moulds, Henry, etc.

    Byrd.

I think it's a decent move on their part. They don't really have a backup that would pose a threat, at least that I know of.

I guess they're not too high on CFL standout Ricky Ray. Good. I thought the Bills should have signed him, but I'm glad they didn't.
