This helps, because now, IMO...we will probably keep 2 QBs on the 53 man roster. Drew Bledsoe and Travis Brown are fine. You can put Greg Zolman on the Practice squad, unless he lights up the last 2 preseason games. We can use the extra roster spot to keep somebody that we probably would have cut.

Thats only if they Put JP on IR for the year. Can he still practice when he gets healthy if he's on IR?

Not IR...PUP. That saves a roster spot, if they put him on the PUP. However, once he is healthy again, he comes back on the roster and someone gets cut.

IR players can't practice. They can do classroom and film work.

Losman is not eligible for the PUP. In order to qualify for the PUP he had to have an injury that pre-dated camp and have been placed on the Active-PUP to start camp. If the player doesn't practice all of camp he then can be moved to the reserve PUP, which keeps him out of the first 6 weeks of the season.

Losman is not eligible for the PUP because he has practiced in training camp. He is only eligible for IR or the Active roster, unless you want to try to sneak him through waivers and sign him to the practice squad.
