As long as he has been around he is out with some problem every year!!!

The best player in the world is no good if he never can play. Maybe it's a small thing this time I hope but I can think of many games this guy was out with one thing or another.

In the recent issue of Bills Digest it says he supposedley put on 10 more Lbs. of muscle mass hoping that would prevent some injuries. He is supposed to practice today.

Is this a trick question?

Maybe we shouldn't resign Jennings if he is so injury prone.

The injury bug he seems to catch every year is what is making it wishy washy as to whether or not we will sign him to a huge contract!

I like his play, and love that he is a staple at LT... but if he gets injured every year, why bother?

He has missed many games every season. Wasn't it just a couple of years ago he went down the first game and was gone almost all season.

This is apparently a minor injury. I wouldn't be too concerned yet.

From Buffalobills.com:

Started the first eight games of the season at left tackle…suffered a hip flexor injury at KC (10/26) and was deactivated the next game at Dal. (11/9) because of it…returned to appear on play in three more games before suffering a toe injury at NYG (11/30)…was placed on injured reserve with the toe injury on 12/3.

From NFL.com

Year Team G GS
2001 Buffalo Bills 12 12
2002 Buffalo Bills 15 15
2003 Buffalo Bills 11 11
TOTAL 38 38

That means he's missed 10 of 48, or a little more than 20%. Not great, but I still like him.

Yeah, all two games he has made it through. He's good but the fat bastard is always getting hurt. He's too heavy for his bones.

I was at Fisher today and he was on the field but didn't really work out. But he didn't look to hurt so let'shope he can make the first game.

We seem to have a lot of guys missing time in preseason this year for minor injuries. It also seems to be mostly vets that are doing so ... my thinking (hoping?) is that as a former player, Mularkey realizes that they don't keep score in the preseason, so he'd rather avoid nagging injuries and make sure everyone is healthy come game #1.

That said, Jennings gets injured too often, especially for an OT. The better guys in the league seem to play all 16 99% of the time (Ogden, Pace, Roaf, Anderson, Glenn, Tait, and Adams are the better tackles that came to mind who always seem to be healthy). I can't think of a single decent tackle that misses 3 or 4 games a year like Jennings has done.

:meh: And who will play in JJ's stead? :tired:

Have to agree. He has to play too because Sully at LT is a very scary thought to me. :nervous:

This is why I would have tried to trade him during the off-season. Bills could have moved Teague to LT and signed a C in FA. :yap:

He played all 16 until that one year that he got injured and I think now he's retired.

When he was good, he played all 16.

It seems that we already have to be concerned about that, don't we?

Ah, touchey' Bernie..
This year, at least, it seems to be that way.
