    Launch date for NFL Network

Most Digital Comcast subscribers will be getting the NFL Network on Friday although the actual launch date isn't until Saturday.

Comcast digital customers get plus with NFL Network

Area customers of Comcast's Digital Plus package will receive a bag full of viewing goodies now that the cable carrier has reached an agreement with the NFL Network.

The NFL Network, the first channel dedicated to pro football, can be previewed by digital plus customers on Channel 180 beginning Friday. The official launch of the network will be Sept. 28.

Don't worry all of you Adelphia users, the NFL Network might be available in about three years.

So this will ONLY be available to digital customers? I am not paying $70 a month for 1 channel that I like. If I want that, I would get the dish (which my landlord wont let me get)

I'm with you, Pride. It's a big ripoff to pay so much extra for one channel.

That's the thing about it. Yeah, we'd get more than one more channel...but we wouldn't watch the others that we get. I had digital cable for a few months last year but it was only on a trial basis...I don't watch enough premium TV to make it worth my money.

I've got Comcast digital with HBO and Starz. I pay $77 a month which is kind of high, but with the new on-demand movies/series (Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Curb, etc.) and now NFL network, it's worth it. I'll let youse guys know when I start getting it.

Is is ever going to come out on Time Warner Cable in Rochester ?? We get NBA TV but not the NFL Network. What's up with that ?? Didn't know Western NY was such a great hotbed for basketball.
