    Well I'm pissed because

I wanted to see the kid come along. Now the broken leg is a setback to his progression. Even if he had no chance of starting this year, he is a future prospect, and I want to see him improving. Now he'll be off his feet for a while, and likely lose most of what he's gained so far.

I hear 8-12 weeks. As the 3rd stringer he would just be running the scout team O in Practice. He can still watch and learn from the sidelines. I'm not that worried.

I agree. That's one of the main reasons I wanted to see all the preseason games.

I see Drew playing into the 3rd quarter on Saturday with Travis getting the rest of the third and possibly some of the fourth. That would have given JP next to nothing. And the last game he probably would have got the whole second half but the last preseason game is crap.

I guess what I'm saying is that I don't think we're doomed. I'm just sad that the kid can't work on his skills. Even if he's running the scout team, he's still working.

I think the biggest loss is the actual game time experience he will miss in the next two games. Studying from a book and running plays in practice is one thing but being out there taking snaps in a live situation is something he really needs.
