I've always kinda' liked Griese. He's at least had some success in this league. Of the guys out there, he - or Couch, if the Pack lets him go - would probably serve us best.

Kordella? If you are speaking of Kordell Stewart, he had been signed by the Ravens weeks ago.

I hate to see valuable cap money spent on any QB...much less that stiff!
I'll take Griese too. At least he knows the fish tendencies.

I know, but he's not playing too well and may get cut

If Deion can come out of retirement, we should give Kelly a call. :naughty:

Would he be the first Hall of Fame player to player after being inducted?
Coaches have done it before but a player I have never heard of .....

you know i thought about that. what would it hurt. he probably wouldnt have to play and still looks in decent shape.
he'd be a great mentor for Drew and JP
and would DEFINITLY sell some tickets.
AND if we could win a Superbowl this year OH HOW SWEET it would be to see Jimbo get his ring!

Except the reason Jimbo retired was because Hull retired and the line could not block. You things changed?

Brian Griese is an intriguing possibility. I wouldn't be interested in him as a starter, but for a guy to come in as an experienced backup for a year, he might be tough to beat. Weinke hasn't started that many games has he? I'm wondering if after signing Quincy Carter there's a chance the Jets might cut Ricky Ray, the CFL phenom last year.

Griese would be welcomed as a backup. We need someone... Ray might fill the spot. Who knows .. The Football Gods will Surprise us again I'm sure.

If the Bears cut Reuben Brown, I think the Bills should sign him as their backup QB.
